If I have to think about a concert in particular to put on my top of the top it must be the time the time I went to the festival "lollapalooza" more specifically the one celebrated on Santiago on the year 2018, now personally I don't like too much music festivals because the artists are going mostly against the clock to let the next artist play specially if they're not most famous enough, but overall I have to say that this was the one I enjoyed the most, because the quality of the artist that played on stage and furthermore I had the instance of listen to new artists.
It began the friday with groups as "Ego kill talent" a brazilian band that I've never listened before but it ended liking me a lot, "sinergia", a chilean band that I found one of the greatest for the originality of the sound of their songs beeing very chilean on their own way, "Los Jaivas", what to say about them, they're majestic on every one of their songs, bringing traditional instruments with them and putting them on beautiful songs that have transcended over the world for its quality and complexity, "Volbeat", a heavy metal band that I haven't listened too many songs but I kinda like their style, but after all this awesome bands the night ended with "Pearl Jam", an incredible band, they are one of the pioneers of the grunge with magnificent songs crowned with the voice of Eddie Vedder, a voice so unique that is recognizable in all of their songs, sadly they didn't play "Black" that is my favorite song of them, but I can't complain.
Then it came saturday, where presented groups as "santaferia" and "movimiento original", I'm not very used to genres like reggae or cumbia, but in particular I like how they sound, is pretty like a party when they play and all the people on the public seemed very cheerful (maybe many of them for weed, the smell of it was very intense xD), then was the concert of "chancho en piedra", if I said that "sinergia" makes a sound very chilean then "chancho en piedra" are the most chilean band that I've ever listened to, the funk sound of many of their songs and the lyrics of them are simply incredible, not to mention the moshes that formed around the stage that I enjoyed very much, then it came "imagine dragons", personally i didn't like them very much at that moment but I had to go with a friend who is a huge fan, and finally presented "Red Hot Chili Peppers", this was epic, they played many songs for their repertory and I enjoyed every single one of them, and they seemed like they don't have aged a single day, very energic presentation.
The last day I didn't like it very much, there wasn't any artist of my preference and I only went because some of my friends wanted to see DJ's as "Wiz khalifa" and "DJ snake", I can't say that I didn't enjoy the show but electronic is not my kind of music.
And that was my experience, I enjoyed very much the artists of the festival and I can say that it was unforgettable.

ResponderEliminarare these types of events worth it? it sounds interesting but I don't like the idea of rushing the bands so the next one can play u.u
ResponderEliminarI never went to an event like that, I like the idea of listening different kinds of music, even if this music I don't listen regularly. Cheers

ResponderEliminarI was there too!! Pearl Jam rocked the night! I loved their version of Comfortably Numb
ResponderEliminarI've never been to a music festival, i have strange feelings about them, everyone seems so happy for going and the music is an amazing thing of life, but the big crowds and the smells (like the weed ) makes me feel uncomfortable. At the beginning of this year when Lollapalooza published it's line up i got surprised because "Miranda!", my favorite group, was on there, i though a lot about buying or not an entrance, at the end i didn't and i don't regret because it got canceled anyway
ResponderEliminarI was there too! it was an amazing couple of days.
ResponderEliminarI haven´t been the opportunity to assist to a red hot chili peppers concert but I imagine that it's impressive especially his solo guitar
